Rwan Hardesty

Rwan Hardesty is an Associate in the Dallas office.  Ms. Hardesty primarily practices in the area of commercial litigation, representing both plaintiffs and defendants before state and federal courts.  Ms. Hardesty regularly handles a wide range of matters, including employment defense matters, personal injury defense claims, managing multiple large dockets of commercial debt, property damage and sale of goods collection claims.

Prior to joining the Firm, Ms. Hardesty worked as an associate attorney for an insurance subrogation and collections firm in Dallas, Texas, where she had extensive first chair trial experience in automobile and property subrogation cases, and has obtained successful verdicts for her clients throughout Texas.  While in law school, Ms. Hardesty was a law clerk for a general civil litigation firm, was an extern for a U.S. Bankruptcy Judge, was a member of the Phillip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Team, and was a finalist in her school's Howie-Sweeney Moot Court competition, as well as an on-campus negotiations competition.

EXPERIENCE
Ms. Hardesty has been involved in litigation in state and federal courts.

  • Obtained numerous favorable verdicts on behalf of insurance companies.  Responsible for all stages of litigation.
  • Successfully negotiated settlements in automobile and property subrogation cases on behalf of insurance company clients.
  • MSJ granted in favor of client in Title VII pregnancy discrimination case, styled Catherine E. Saracho v. Children's Medical Center of Dallas, Civil Action No. 3-10CV-1472D. in the Nothern District of Texas, Dallas Division.
  • Successfully negotiated settlements in livestock case on behalf of insurance company client.
  • Judicial Extern to the Honorable D. Michael Lynn, United States Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Texas (2009)
  • Completed Texas Professional Mediator Requirement.
